Help 4WD won't engage

I have a 2002 limited and I hit the button today to engage my 4WD and the light blinked as usual but the 4WD never engaged. The light is still blinking and I don't know what to do. Please help!!!!!

go back and forth and see if it will engage after a few tries. If that doesnt work serach and youll find a way to manually put it into 4wd to see what kind of problem you're dealing with.

Another quick check is to tap on the front differential actuator. Sometimes the fork will stick if the 4wd hasn't been used in a while.

Officially back and forth

according to the toyo manual. What I found was engaging 4wd then making a right turn, not necessarily a complete right but most of it, then click it would engage.

What I really found out was PO was not using 4wd monthly for at least 10 miles like the toyo manual sez. So just use 4wd weekly or so for a few miles and in time it will engage/disengage with ease. Luck! :banana:
