That's not a busted CV, those are just leaking CV boots. And that's just what happens to the stock CV axles after they sit for about a decade at one position and then their angle suddenly changes from the new lift. There are lots of threads on this if you search. You can try hose clamps to see if they will stop it from leaking, but ultimately you'll probably need to replace them (but not for a while). Once you replace them, keep these in the truck for spares if you 4wheel because CVs do actually snap and break fairly easily.

After my stock CVs leaked all the grease out and the boots had all torn completely off, I still drove the truck for several months, through a snowy winter with bare CVs on both sides.

i got the truck at 180k miles and its at about 213k now... i'm not sure if they have ever been replaced... i just got out there and couldn't find the tear on the boot...

That's because they probably aren't torn yet. The stock boot clamps just can't hold the grease in anymore with the new angle.

Rebooting time. There is a thread about two pages back that shows the kit and such.

If you don't want to have to replace them down the road or get them rebuilt, reboot them sooner than later. The stock CVs are the best.

For 213xxx miles, those LBJs look darn good.
