Help installing shocks wanted, Denver

Hi everybody,
Im looking for someone who can give me a hand installing shocks /springson 5th gen.4r
I`m tried to do it by myself today, I think it`s imposible to do it without second set of hands.4 I do have a garage,tools, drinks and food.

If there someone who can help me do it it would be greatly appreciated.
I know how to, just need another person.Im in Highlands ranch.

I`ve got bilshteins 5100 and Toytech`s rear superflex springs.
I already installed front passenger side strat, definetelly not one person job, 4 hours of cursingbut got it done. the rest of the kit I don`t really care about install date, you tell me what you think, any weekday works for me and weekends too, just not tomorrow, my all mustles sore after yesterdays front shock install. I`ll need couple days to recover.
 
Im helping a friend move this weekend, if you dont have it done next weekend PM me, Ill help you.
 
I cant believe all the Denver peps on here, and no one is offering to help the guy out :wtf:
 
I'm in PA, but if I was in Denver, I'd help, even though you probably know as much or more than I do!

I'm going to be attempting my own Bilstein front, and actually a spacer lift rear on my 4th gen and was actually planning to go about it myself. I'm curious as to what the biggest trouble spots are that you hit? Should I not be planning to do this myself?

front shock and spring together is to heavy to hold with one hand while you pushing on lCA and wiggle shock springcombo in place, unless you are weight lifter which I`m not. I was able to do it passenger front by myself but I would not do it myself anymore.
I hope I can do more detailed explanation after we done with the rest of the install .

Gotcha. Thx. If this is the only constraint, then I'll be good. At least I'll have my wife at home if absolutely necessary and in case of an extreme emergency... God forbid.

I've done the last 2 suspension swaps on my 4runner with the help of the wife. We've been able to knock it out pretty easily. Just do some reading on the install, have all tools ready, and spray penetrating oil such as wd40 on all bolts you'll touch a few days before the install. Wouldn't hurt to spray 2 or 3 times since you're up north. Stuck bolts seems to be the most common problem.

Yep! All stressed about the rust-welded bolts! Already planning on buying the front sway links in advance, because I'd almost bet that I'll have to cut them off... We'll see though. Would be great if I don't need to!

And I don't care what anyone says... I'm using anti seize on the sway links/bushing bolts in case there is a ''next time''. All others will be left dry or i may consider the locktite I guess.

I picture a lot of cursing and anger just getting started on the sways. I do have an impact at least.

I'll read up on your thread and links for sure.

With just a couple wrenches, it's pretty easy to break most of the nuts/bolts loose. If you're too concerned with it, go in a week or two before to break things loose. If it goes smoothly, you could do this in 30 minutes and it would make the install much easier/less intimidating.

Chris came up around 2PM and by 4 Pm it has been done, thank you againChris, I own you big one. if you ever need a hand,or maybe computer related help don`t hesitate to hit me up, you`ve got my number.

I set front bilshteins on 0.85 lift-second notch, rear sprinds raised it 2"
I like how rear seats higher-I`m planning to tow with my rig
no more nose divingit`s rides like a limo now- very smooth, bilshteins did it right againg-5100 series is awesome. body roll is minimal. Ill post some pics on weekend.

It was nice to wrench on a clean rig too. No need for penetrate oil on a rig that has 1000 miles on it.
