Help me pick a color.....

I am going to be painting my trim on my rig. I will paint fender flairs as well as bumpers.
I need your honest help in picking the color. I was thinking on going with the same color as the wheels but im not sure. Any help would be appreciated.

I hate our chrome as much as the next guy on here. I think your color matching fender flares look AWESOME (wish mine did). It would be hard to exactly match your wheel color in my opinion. Painted chrome can look different after it dries and if it is even a little off, it would look pretty bad. stick with the black theme

I agree in full with this. I'd pay a lot to be able to find the black on black. KEEP ITTTTT lol. Mine are the gray cladding and fenders with black body.

Ill have to say nope on the yellow. If I keep it black, Ill be painting the bumpers black to match

Ill have to say nope on the yellow. If I keep it black, Ill be painting the bumpers black to match

Its hard to pick an accent color like yellow or red without anything already on the Runner. One option other than paint is a good coat of (black) :nod: Herculiner on the bumpers.

Maybe my comment didn't make sense. What I meant was that black on black looks good not yellow or red. I was thinking about doing some herculiner as well! Looks like a cool mod plus when I go offroading it's primarily sand and it always kicks up onto the cladding.

I personally would leave the color alone. Then I'd work on the rust I can see on the hitch, and any rust that is most likely on the undercarriage, too.

I would leave the color matched flares alone but I would black out the chrome bumpers. I'm currently planning this myself on my black '01. Professionally painted would be nice but I would just disassemble and rattle can 'em myself.
Lots of cool coatings out there too. Your 5 stars look great and too much of that color on the rig would detract from them. My 2 cents. Good luck and post pics when you finish.

I would leave the flares and rims the way they are. Black chrome on the bumpers is a nice idea, but I wonder if they would blend with the rims. Maybe black chrome the bumpers, rims and grille (or black satoshi grille)!

if you decide to paint your bumpers, I suggest plasti-dip FIRST. See if you like it. If you don't you can peel it off and try something else. Plast-dip comes in a lot of different colors. Allows you to try on colors before you commit.

Of course there is software that allows you to "paint" different parts of an image of your Runner.

Thanks guys. Ill most likely start with the bumpers and grill black and see from there
