Help! Removing 06 Front Bumper

I know this should be easy but... well... I'm stuck.

I'm at Removal step 2d. Got my screwdriver tip taped up. Wedged it in the gap between the bumper and the front side panel where it shows the 4 claws are. Created a bit of a gap with up/downward pressure (maybe around 1cm). Nothing happens. How are these supposed to unclaw? I thought they would just pop off but I don't want to snap them and I kinda feel I'm towards that limit with the pressure I'm applying.

I think that I remember having to grab the bumper from the wheel well (reaching in toward those clips) and while pulling outward, wiggle it up and down to get those pop off. It did take some force, but didn't break anything.

Thanks for the reply Doozi... does that mean you had to take off the inner wheel well lining as well to access where you're 'reaching in toward those clips'? So far I just removed the clips/screws so the bumper isn't attached to the lining but the lining is still attached to wheel well moulding etc. which seems to preclude me from reaching where I think you're describing? Still no luck yet getting the bumper off.

Yeah... I pretty much had everything separated from the bumper skin so that the only attachment points left were the clips on the sides. Like I said, it will take some force and it will sound bad, but it should just pop out as long as everything else is free. It seems pretty solid because there are four clips (I think) in a row and I think that it was upward pressure while pulling outward that got it to pop free.
