Help Request - Rear Diff Compatibility
Alright boys and girls, I did some searching - about 2 hours worth and my Google Fu has led me to dozens of broken links and conflicting info. Time to turn to the experts (you!)!
Here's what I'm trying to find out:
4x4runner2002 is selling a complete third member with an Aussie Locker (something I was going to get anyways) with 4.10 gears. This is the original but upgraded factory rear diff from his 2002 4WD.

I would like to install this in my 2004 2WD V8 T4R but I don't know if it will work or not, or what part compatibility issues I may run into (driveshaft flange for example).
From what I have found, there are 4-Cyl versions, V6 versions and a high-pinion version of the Toyota 8", which is the rear I THINK I have... Maybe? I don't know. I can't find any reliable info other than that V8 Sport 2004's have 3.73 gears.
Can anyone point me into the right direction? I'd like to spend some of my hard-earned consulting money this month so that he can get his radio installed and I can feel bada$$ in my 2WD :cowboy:
