Hesitation at WOT/Open loop

So I've done some searching without a definite answer and I'm wondering if this is an error with my fuel map or just a bad: injector, coil pack, plugs, wires, MAF, O2 sensor...

Is this a know issue on the 3.4's?

97 Limited 5-Speed swap/Auto ECU

To clarify for anyone who hasn't heard of this issue, when i put the pedal to the floor and trigger an open loop condition, there is a small hesitation that causes a very noticeable miss. When i still had an auto tranny i just thought it was how that thing downshifted but now that i have a 5-speed i can stay in a single gear and really feel the miss at WOT...

and in typing this i just had a thought... Does the auto computer do this to reduce stress on the tranny when downshifting? Im really dreading re-pinning for Manual ECU...

Thoughts?

The computer does retard timing during a shift.....I think. And there are two different engine computers. One of auto and one for manual. Wonder if there is a way to disable it.

WOT hesitation is usually plugs and wires. Mine had same issue and now is smooth as butter.

Dont dread repining the manual ecu. Replace the engine harness with the manual one and all you have to repin is the one dash plug that goes into the ecu
