Hi everyone, newbie here, my name's Pierre, I'm French. Got an old beat up 4 runner recently for a very little money, now I need to MOT it in order to get the ownership papers in order, problem is, the rear seat belts are missing the top loop retainer or whatever it's called - see picture

I can't imagine how it was removed or why, or maybe it was never there? Anyway, I looked further and noticed this part on the sides

but cannot figure out if this is an alternative passage for the seatbelt or what?
Can anyone be kind enough to enlight me? Cheers in advance, and can't wait to read the plethora of info available on this forum!

Viva le french 4runner! Sorry, I just had to. It rolls so nicely off the tongue.

That part missing in the first and second picture is probably a clothes hanger hook. I don't know how it got snapped off, but if I'm right it's nothing to be worried about.

As for the other part, I don't know. But that area just behind it looks like it's missing something - between the circled part and where the belt enters.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure somebody will positively identify both parts for you shortly.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Well it looks like the part missing is indeed part of the seat belt assembly, it's apparently called the pillar loop, a bit of a mystery as to why - or how! - it was removed, but I have to replace the entire assemblies (left and right rear passengers), any idea where I can bag one for not too much whonga? Cheers!
