Hi-Lift Gear: Best options for no Hi-Lift-ready rails/bumpers?

I don't have the budget for rock sliders and new bumpers. I recently got a Hi-Lift, and I want to get my 2000 T4R ready for it. It's primarily a daily driver, but I do take it out at least once a month on backroads. I have Billsteins and new springs, but everything else is stock. I stay away from rock-crawler situations, so I doubt I'll ever need it. But I still need that insurance, and I want to be able to get the job done without the rails/new bumpers.

My choices are: a (Hi-Lift) Bumper Lift or a Lift-Mate. Either way, I need either a jack stand or 4x4x12" wood blocks.

Which combination of the above items would be best?

I'm prepared to take whatever time I need to get the job done. I understand that it may be tedious with a cheaper setup like this, but I'm OK with that.

Without sliders or aftermarket bumpers, a hi-lifts uses are very limited. You can still use it as a
Hand winch
Lift from rear receiver mounted shackle
Lift using a tire strap

The lift mate is very easy to use and are actually safer than lifting from a slider. Because it is firnly secured to the wheel, the risk of the jack slipping off sideways is greatly reduced.
