Hi-Lift Tube Mount on 4th Gen Rack

Has anyone tried using a Hi-Lift Tube Mount to secure their Hi-Lift to their factory 4th Gen roof rack (square style)?

I wondered if the rack itself would crinkle/crack when tightening down the tube mount.

I believe Slee Off Road makes a hi lift mount that attaches to the stock rack crossbars.

I've seen the Slee mount. The hi lift tube mount seemed to be a better engineered product (expensive, but not really more expensive than the slee mount).

In addition, the slee mount forces you to have the crossbars at a designated distance apart. This would limit how I can use the rack (roof bike rack etc.) when the jack is up there.

Well placing my hi-lift mount on my Rola rack if I clamp it tight it will crush the tubing so I'm sure it will bend a factory rack
