hiccup

I have developed what I can best explain as a hiccup in my 86. It happens between 2500 and 2800 rpm. It feels like a bad miss. I'm thinking that maybe one or more of my injectors are starting to fail. Im sure they are due for replacement but I am hoping to wait till I finish building my other motor before replacing them. Has anyone run into this problem before or have any idea what it might be. I did a diagnostic and everything was ok.

Could be that you need a tune up? Timing, plugs, plug wires, valves etc..

I already have done that. new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter

your hiccup could also be a dead spot in ur throttle position sensor

Is there a way to test that. I know how to test with the ohm meter but will that tell me if there is a dead spot?
