High clutch engamemt

1997 3.4 5speed with e locker.
Clutch feels right and was replaced by previous owner. It engages near the top of the pedal travel. No slippage or sponginess at all. Just trying to see if this is normal

You can adjust it with the jam nut on the master cylinder plunger.

It's adjustable and you are out of spec. FSM has instructions. Sorry, no link, mine is paper. Occasionally, there is a problem with the pedal mounting that does this no matter how you adjust it.

Is it the bolt that’s on the plunger going through the firewall? Should I tighten it or loosen it
 
You need to adjust the pedal height before you adjust the thread on the firewall. As the Durk said follow the FSM. Also check that the little plastic button that the switches hit is not broken
 
adjust the push rod shorter.

but, do you KNOW for sure the clutch was replaced? engaging at the top is a sign of a worn clutch...
