and someone state side like ARB, etc need to steal the front plate design

um have you not notice that isn't orange peel but reinforcement of the lower painted panels against rocks/etc.

Toyota does that across most of their off road capable vehicles.

4runner, Tacoma, tundra, FJ cruiser.

Looks like me like a reflection of the tread plate on the running board.

That's because underneath the paint is a substance called gravel guard. Goes on sort of like bed liner so that is why the finish is wrinkled.
