Yea I was gonna get to that once I got it all back together and had some time to get on my comp.
Im sure there is some info somewhere on how to remove the hood scoop, but I was having a hard time finding it..
Ok for anyone that tries to remove the hood scoop from a 03-05 (I think that's the years that use the same hood). It can be a little tricky.
First there are 5 nuts on the underside of the hood that need to be removed. These can be a pain in the a$$ since the bolts are also threaded on the other side into the hood scoop. When you go to loosen the nuts, the bolt spins on the reverse side (not all the bolts will spin, but 3 of the 5 on mine did). I had to take a flat head screwdriver and jam it in behind the nut to hold the underside of the bolt so the nut would come off. Hope you don't have to do this, but I did so I figured I would share my experience.
After you get those nuts off you need to remove the insulation under the hood (this can be done either before or after you remove the 5 bolts). After the insulation is off the hood there is 1 phillips head screw right in the middle of the scoop.
After this screw is removed the hood scoop will come out.
