When I start my 2000 when hotmit starts up and ideles fine. When you put it into gear it has zero power. Pedal to the floor results in backfireing, and no motion. If i wait a few minutes this will go away and drive fine. I have cleaned the iac valve do I need a new one?
do you have a check engine light on? I would say Throttle Position Sensor, or TPS for short MAYBE a cause. Without knowing if there is code, it's just an educated guess.
