How bad can expect an OME heavy suspension setup to beat me up when not towing

I plan on having a bed platform and then towing and / or using a receiver hitch platform from time to time. For my daily drive without this stuff, how bad will this ride be? I think the front is fine, but I'm worried about the rear.

I have the 906 with their 60028 "comfort shocks" and they are stiff. I have had this set up for over two years and 25k miles. Off roading they are great. Everyday driving if you live where the roads are rough then they will drive you crazy. My town has all new roads and the highways out here in AZ is smooth so it handles really well.

I've towed twice. Each trip was over 1200 miles with a trailer weighing over 3500 pounds and the set up is perfect. Soaks up bumps no problem. Doesn't bounce at all. Each time the squat was only 3/4 of an inch.

So, overall I am very pleased. For where I live and what I do the set up has been great. Yes it's stuff but it conveys confidence with handling and hitting large bumps/pot-holes. The quality is great. The springs and shocks are solid and beefy. I wouldn't recommend the 60027 shocks; go with the 60028 or their new shocks which are suppose to be softer than the 60028 (I can't remember the number)

I personally this summer am going with the Toytec adjustables for the front and the OME 891 (I think that's them, the 3in lift ones) for the rear. I just a little more height.


Side note. I still have my stock set up for the front so I can't comment on the front set up.

To be honest everyone has a opinion. I have ome and they feel amazing to me. Im used to driving trucks and using my airbags. I feel like people complaining expect a crossover suv style vehicle where as i like a truck feel.

The OME springs I used where great, I never used their shocks because of 1 they were absurdly expensive, and 2 because of the shit reveiws on how they rode. With my rough country nitro charger shocks the ride was awesome!

I've had some experience with the 906 & thought they road great & had a "good firmness" about them (that was with bilstein 5100s). I'd compare it to how a new factory 3rd gen suspension would feel. I don't have any personal experience with the 60027 but from what I've read, they seem to be on the stiffer side.

I run the 906 rear with bilstein 4600's and it handles like a new 4runner should. 1/2" of rake compared to the front and tows like a dream.

I pull a 5x8 enclosed with 2 roadracing sportbikes in it.
