Cool story and way to think outside the box. Not sure I would have done the same. I'm afraid I may have just accepted the damage and then think of CC AFTER I scratched up my rig.

Years ago I went to a friend's cabin. Snow and ice on the driveway and he could not get his FWD VW into the garage. I put my 88 Toyota in 4WD and drove right up. He went out and bought an 89 Toyota 4X4.

Yeah that driveway doesn't look fun at all. I would back into that thing every night and I would buy some PVC and extend that drainpipe down to the street so I didn't have to worry about it anymore.

I'd say add some lights down the driveway and keep it clean. Good idea to extend that drain as mentioned above.

My understanding is the reverse gears are not really made to pull hard so I'd be cautions backing up a steep hill like that everyday.

My brother has a hill about that steep but going down towards the house. Lives on the side of a mountain. His garage has two doors so you can drive right through it, down then up the hill so you never have to back up. Basically a circle driveway with a garage in the middle.

Yes thank you for the story and now photo. Maybe paint the wall Voodoo Blue in case you get two get cozy again. Also like the boulders in the driveway then you can select the Rock terrain and speed control every day.

I would have to move. I lived in a house years ago that had a driveway with a bit of an incline. Hated every bit of it. Hated driving on it. Hated walking on it. Especially hated clearing snow off it.
