I just don't pay mine. They send several "threatening" notices in the mail, the reality is they just take them out of your state tax return. The state doesn't need this bogus fee right away so I am in no rush to pay them. The notice does state they will send you to collections blah blah, but the reality is it has never effected my credit score and like I said it just takes it out of my tax return.

They are a way to raise money from suckers that don't know their rights.

We have no state income tax in Texas. They way they collect is issue a warrant and take you to jail the next time you get pulled over. Ask me how I know.I just don't pay mine.
