How do you avoiding speeding camera tickets other than slow down?

There are not many here in Ohio... My company car was "caught" once. But the driver couldn't be seen in the picture. The fleet manager at my company asked for proof of who was driving and it was thrown out.

It doesn't work this way in Ohio, but in some states citations and even warrants are issued without proper notification or opportunity to dispute. It's a long fight, but this is all kinds of illegal.

One thing I do know is that a radar detector or intentional blocking of a license plate is a MUCH bigger charge than the tickets they MAY avoid.

Or you could not speed..................

In theory, I totally agree with you! However, I honestly believe that there are times where people driving the speed limit are actually more of a hazard. The speed limit through Cincy is 55... If you are not going 70 you will get run over!

I hear ya. I drive through parts where if you are not going 75-80, you risk getting into an accident. I've been in parts of New Jersey (Garden State Parkway near Clifton/Newark) where EVERYONE is doing 90. Anyway, speed cameras are bogus. I've been stopped twice for a rolling stop. Such BS.

I'm all for have something that trips them up.

a few more tips

This is how to avoid speeding tickets...
-Look ahead for bears and Evel Knievals in the median/side of the road and pay attention to other drivers behavior..brake lights, etc..
-Watch out for a fox in the hen house creepin up on you from behind
-Stay out of the left hand lane and use it only to pass
-Use common sense and don't drive like an idiot/jerk...tailgating, excessive lane changes, insane speed, etc..
-Watch out for the bear in the air or a flying donut...pay attention to lines on the highway that they time you between
-If you come across a taco stand, remember the location cuz it just might be there again next month
-Slow down around chicken coops.
-get a CB cuz truckers like to broadcast where the Kojak with the kodak is
-I'm very cautious with speed on back roads cuz the County Mounties are sneaky and they like to hand out tickets vs giving you just a warning

Watch for brake lights ahead.
Avoid excessive lane changes.
Run your turn signal extra long, so it looks like it took you longer than it actually did to change lanes.
Don't cut anyone off, don't tailgate, drive nice and predictably.
When you change lanes, use the opportunity to check your six.
At the end of a long straightaway, as you enter the turn, check your six.
At the top of long, straight hills, check your six.
Tilt your passenger mirror excessively far to the right, so you can check on ramps for cops. By the time you see them, they see you, but if they don't know you see them and you slow down, they may think your speeding was only temporary and leave you alone.
Don't let cops see you react when you first notice them. Don't jerk, don't brake immediately, and certainly don't reach behind your seat or do anything which make it look like you're concealing your beer.
Don't make eye contact with cops or even wave to them. Stay invisible. Cops know that drunk people are more friendly, so even if you're sober, they're still more likely to pull you over.
Let faster drivers pass you; let them get the ticket.
Go fast! If a cop is on the opposite side of the road, or even sitting on your side on the shoulder, and you're doing 85+, they're going to have to go well over 100mph to catch up. Experienced cops don't like going that fast, because they know more cops die in accidents than any other way. Of course if you get a young cop in a pursuit vehicle, you're screwed.
Old school radar doesn't work in the rain or fog. IDK about laser.
Bears in the Air don't usually fly in bad weather or at night.
Cops are humans, and like some humans, they don't like to get out in the rain, so are less likely to pull you over. So the best time to speed is on a rainy night, lol.
Keep your vehicle generic, so the local cops don't recognize you as that guy that's always going fast.
No bumper stickers! Some cops do pull you over based upon political affiliation.
Keep the exterior of your car legal, don't give them an excuse to go fishing. Things in Ca like no front license plate or heavily tinted windows can ruin your day.
Have your paperwork in order and easy to reach. Keep your hands on the steering wheel, turn off your stereo, and roll down the passenger side window so the cop can see you.
Don't tell the cop you're a fire fighter. Just hang your shirt in backseat, semi-visible, and he/she may cut you a break. But most hate when you ask for it.
Don't put firefighter stickers on your car; chicks dig it, but cops may not.
Move to California, where speed cameras are illegal.

Radar detectors are illegal in Ohio? Didn't know that.

We have no state income tax in Texas. They way they collect is issue a warrant and take you to jail the next time you get pulled over. Ask me how I know.

I'm going to out myself as an old man, but let me suggest driving the speed limit. It's not 55 anymore. If you take the toll road between Austin and San Antonio is 85. Most of Texas is 75 or 80. It's 75 on two-lane state highways here. It's not like y'all are driving from Chattanooga to Beaumont with my dad, who pegged the speedometer at 53 mph the entire 750 miles. And buckle up too.

and for your added enjoyment on the toll road you get to dodge wild pigs that stroll around :pop2:

I rightfully got pulled over once for speeding and passing over a double yellow and my Cannondale sticker on the side rear window saved me a ticket. The cop was a biker and we had a conversation about bikes and rides and then he just let me go, no warning, no ticket.

There's that chance, too

I knew a BLM agent, Dave Bremer, IIRC, who worked Nevada and Eastern California. He authored a post about how he's more likely to pull over people with Sierra Club-type stickers, because "they are usually more informed and should know better."

But I've heard that Marine Corps stickers are good for avoiding tickets.

Yeah, there are lots of areas in NJ where the average speed is 85 or 90. Literally nobody is driving the posted 65 mph limit. You'd likely cause a dangerous situation trying to drive the posted speed limit when both lanes are doing 20 mph or more over.

South Jersey is particularly notorious for high speeds and aggressive driving.
