How does this look for a suspension setup (for the weight I have/will have)?

I need to start planning for a suspension upgrade. In the added weight department, I've already got a Gobi Rack, Shrockworks sliders, and 4 FrontRunner boxes is the back with emergency/recovery gear. I have a SSO slimline bumper and lightbar ordered but not installed yet. Eventually I would like to get a steel rear bumper with swing aware for the spare as well.

Does this look good for that in your opinion? Does anyone have the same setup? I have stock suspension in a 16 Trail - non-KDSS.

plenty of threads detailing variations of this exact setup.

the tiny little bilsteins will not be up to the task of the extra weight you outline, particularly if you plan to wheel your rig. the medium spring rate in the front will probably be ok, provided you don't add a full bumper, winch, or dual battery set up - in any of those cases, you should be going to a 700lb setup. In the rear, I'd go straight to a heavy rate spring, otherwise you are going to see a droopy rear, particularly after you add the bumper. the OME springs are ok, but in my experience they sagged pretty badly within a few months of moderate use.

all of the work you can do yourself quite easily with basic hand tools, a floor jack, and a couple jack stands. lots of DIY install info here

I would consider going with 6112s for the front especially if there's a possibility that you'll add future weight like a winch.

Thanks, I would like dual battery in the next couple years. Maybe I will just bite the bullet and go heavy front and back. Just deal with the crappier ride for a while.

Here is the cost of my install. I am including hours so you can adjust for the cost of labor in your area (Cali labor is $$$). The work was done by a 4x4 specialist.

Take factory struts apart and assemble and install Bilstein 6112: 2.5 hours - $275
Install rear shocks and coils: 1.5 hours - $165
Disconnect XREAS: 0.5 hours - $55 (this was because I have a LE 4Runner)
Alignment: $165
Shop Supplies $20

Total: $680

5100s are fine for stock weight, the 6112s are an upgrade and here's what I got from TAP:

coil. Coil as heavy duty as the OME, but can still handle
winch and skid plates.

Awesome, did not know that. Thanks! I figured they were stock weight and then i'd have to upgrade them to something else. Seemed like a waste a money to buy a set of coils and then have to buy upgraded springs on an already more expensive set of coils.
