I picked up a used Toytec Ultimate lift from an FJ owner and installed them this weekend. according to Toytec, the lift height is 2x the amount of threads showing at the bottom, so it looks like I'm set at 4" of lift since it has 2" of threads showing.
now, my question is that if this is a lift from an FJ, and FJ suspension gives about a 1" lift, does it matter since these are adjustable coilovers? I'm thinking not, since when I set them side-by-side with my current FJ struts w/2.5" spacers, they were shorter in overall height. but once I installed them, they're much taller than I was before.
so does it matter? should I just grab some spanner wrenches and set it however I want? do I need to be concerned that it's set at "4 inches of lift" for an FJ?
