How many 4Runners do you see in your area?

Come to Colorado if you want to see plenty of every gen 4Runner and I can't drive a mile without seeing several Runners mostly 3rd and 4th gens and I've been a stoplights more than once where every gen ofm 4Runner is represented. (excluding 5th gens but it won't be long to see all 5 at a light)
It seems every one of every 20 vehicles here in Colorado is a 4Runner or a Subaru.

A lot especially in Los Angeles. Newer models are already out in the street.Filipinos are fond of 4Runner:flamethrwoer2:

Being in the Orlando area, I see lots of all gens daily.
Of course, I would see more if I had a longer than 15 minute commute
Mostly 3rd & 4th gen. There is a rusty red 1st gen I see at least once a week on the way home.
Most are not modified at all. Even the 1st gens ( except mine of course ).
I have an S10 company truck, so I am not in any of my 'Yotas most of the time.

I see TONS of them here in CA, on my 15 Mi commute to school today I counted 37!!! 7 4th gens and the rest 29 3rd gens and a 2nd gen. Every one of them was stock...

I was recently vacationing in the Tampa/St. Pete area and I was taken by the lack of 4Runners I didn't see which were mostly 2wd 3rd gens and some 4th gens but I didn't see a tenth of the 4Runners I see here on a daily basis for the 12 days I was there but that should be expected coming from a snowy state vs a flat sunny state. Also Subarus were pretty far and inbetween.
I just drove a 1/4 mile to the grocery store from my house and I saw 3 4th gens,2 3rds and a 5th gen in the 2 minutes I was on the road and a Tacoma and a new Tundra for good measure.

Yeah, Colorado is really a Mecca for 4runners, I have seen up to 5 or 6 3rd gens in my 1/4 drive to work and they arent even the same ones Ive ever seen before... its really crazy, I think I counted over 20 between boulder and Denver on one day, I was making a point that there are more 3rd gens on the road in colorado than any other 96-2002 comparable vehicle...
Point was made with flying colors, I think the count came to 20something-3 and none of the 3 "others" were even close to as nice or running as well.

O.K., on the ride home at 3:30 pm yesterday, I saw:
1st - 0
2nd - 3
3rd - 4
4th - 1
5th - 0
On the ride in to work at 6:30 am today, I saw:
1st - 0
2nd - 2
3rd - 4
4th - 2
5th - 1
Some of them were duplicates as I pretty much take the same route back and forth. Most were parked in driveways / business parking lots. A few were being driven.
The totals do not count my 1st & 3rd at home, and my neighbors ( my old '96 ) next door.

It sure seems the 3rd is the most popular gen.
I live in a small neighborhood of 24 homes, we have 4 4Runners... one every 6 houses. Not bad...
A real common one around here I see all the time is a white 2nd gen with flames on it! lol.

Absolutely true, especially in Athens. I feel like college towns would have more than other towns because it's a nice vehicle, but not TOO nice for an 18-22 year old.

I was in a small town in North Carolina last weekend for an Antique Car Show.
Between walking the city streets around my hotel and in the hotel parking lot I easily saw almost a dozen 4th gen 4Runners.
What was really interesting was the large number of V8 models compared to V6 models (5 or 6 V8s to 1 V6).
Also saw more than a few late gen Tundra and Tacoma Pickup Trucks.
On the trip through Eastern PA, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina I probably saw another 1 to 2 dozen 4Runners.
Most of these 4Runners were mainly 4th gens (V6s) with a few 3rd gens mixed in.
Out of all the above mentioned 4Runners, only my 4Runner was being used for towing.
