How many 84' 4Runners were built?

Hello,

Looking through the Internet and using the search function, I could not find any info. on how many T4Rs were built each year. How many USA. 84' 4Runners out there? My build date is April 84'. The last digits of Vin# should be unit numbers, right? Did Toyota start numbers at One? Thanks for helping with info! VM.

You have to account t for 2 different models here. 1984 was cut short half year. So Toyota only made around 10,000 total with the 22r engine. After that into 1985 it had the 22re and was basically considered a 1985.
So only realistically maybe 3,000 survived scrap and accidents in the US maybe even less.
I personally own 1 1984 that had a 22r in it.

My brother also has an 84 with the 22r in it. I didnt think that there was that few that are still around

Thought my 84' would be fun to build. Almost no rust at all! Not going to cut my fenders. Stay with 4" of lift and 35x10.5x15s. Sliders for rocker protection.
