I drove it for the first time in over 2 months. After running the battery tender for a day a week ago, it started right up. I think I need to get the tires balanced though, I've got a wicked vibration at 65, which is usually tire related.

I did roll over 382555 today, so only another 2 years to hit 400k!

I love my 3rd gen. I can spot the outline of a 3rd at night, in bad weather, in a parking lot... just about where ever. They seem to be the most "built" of all the gen 4Runners in my neck of the woods. They seem to be a perfect size for easily threading the needle through some tight situations where FJ's, 4th, 5th gens, and Tacos struggle. I love running with my FJ friends. Those are great rigs in their own right, but I always know that if they got through a tight spot, then I should be fine. Hahaha. 236K miles and still modding.

Do I get to count as multiple members if I have multiple 3rd gens? I have been pretty MIA since moving from OR, but now I have a garage and will be a bit more present, but this site rocks... Also, my rigs have just run amazingly well for the past year, so no real trouble shooting!

you may want to drive it a bit and see if the vibrations go away. Tires can get flat spots from sitting too long. Usually some driving takes care of it. If it doesn't go away after some driving then get them balanced.

I'll take 24. I'm brand new, actually buying my first 3rd Gen tomorrow afternoon. I'll be the third owner, no accidents, all the maintenance records of a 1996 Limited T4R.

Pretty excited to say the least. I'll post pics after I take delivery.

Drove it 30 miles this week, mostly highway, vibration is the same. Took into Firestone today for Lifetime Alignment checkup. Turns out I have a bad ITRE, so I'm going to address that soon and see where that gets me.

The tires have about 8k on them anyway, and have been on there about 2 years, so it's time for a balance anyway.
