How many quarts of oil does your 4runner hold?

Let me guess, you get only 2.7 oil changes per bucket.

How is that a guess? That's grade 5 math, lol. Luckily the pails are cheaper than buying it in jugs.

I hate to say but The R oil is kinda the bottom of the barrel.

Rotella is very popular among diesel owners, I've never heard anything disparaging about it, what have you heard and from where? Links?

With a standard filter, I've always used 5.5 quarts.

Mine took right about 6 quarts with OEM small filter.

Just filled mine 2 days ago...with 5 quarts and it needed a 6th and a fraction of a 7th. '99 V6.
