Hi all. My 2016 with Kings have 30,000 miles on them and I just noticed my front sway bar has been rubbing my radiator bracket on driver side for some time (lots of missing black paint from both). After looking things over for an hour, I decided to remove my TRD Pro skid plate and reinstall my black original thing metal skid plate. Will be selling this soon.
My question, how many are running this setup with the black OEM skid plate and how many total bolts are you using to secure it? Why I ask, the Kings require spacers on the radiator brackets to avoid rubbing the sway bar and my setup the OEM skid is only using 2 bolts to secure the black skid plate and the 2 hooks are 2 inches away from the holes they are suppose to sit in when the truck is stop height. Seems awfully weak to use only 2 bolts. The Kings install instructions don’t document what to do.
