Adding armor and accessories adds weight (duh). Have you added too much?
What is the typical weight of:
Steel full front bumper?
With bull bar, and headlight bars?
Steel full rear bumper? Swing out(s)?
Steel skid plates/armor?
Rock sliders? Roof rack? Ladder? Winch? Air compressor?
Hilift jack, traction boards, straps, shackles, shovel, saw, axe?
Camping gear? Food, water, cooler, stove?
Spare parts & fluids?
Have we exceeded the GVWR yet?
Now add driver/passengers.
I have a 68 F100 with 2 extra 18 gallon fuel tanks. When it had the ¾ camper on it, it was 100 lbs over GVW. I added rear air bags to level it under various loads, that doesn't raise the GVWR. Doesn't change the brakes or bearings.
Choose wisely.
How much (avg) do those 4runner upgrades weigh?
