How to attach photos

I started my build thread and have included some photos alreay. It seems every time I attach a photo the link to the photo appears in the body of the text. I looked at a lot of other build threads and I don't see the links, just the photos. What the heck am I doing wrong?

I use photobucket and copy from the "direct" box on the options it gives you. This shows the picture in your thread.

You have to click the "Go Advanced" button below the quick reply box. On the bottom is "Manage Attachments" which is what you click to add photos.

I tried to use the "go advanced" and manage attachments. I upload the pics, but the site puts the pics and links in my post together. Is there a way to caption the pics, and separate them, without having the link displayed?

When I click "manage attachments" it will only let me upload a file less than 136 kb. How do I do that from a 4 mb picture file? Do you have to post pics on another site and use the url link to get pics to post?

Google photos has an option in the edit feature to resize with one option specifically for forum posting
