installation couldnt be easier.

theres only ONE screw that holds it in place, and its at the top, right in your face.

you undo it, and pull forward real hard, and itll come out.

stock bulbs will work fine.

Are the stock bulbs in the parking lights orange or do they show white. The turn signal bumper lights are white so Id have to get new bulbs right.

stock parking lights are white.

stock turn bulbs are white as well, but instead of getting a new amber bulb, get a chrome bulb. that way itll retain the white look (no orange glare from the bulb) but light orange.

also, installing the clear bumper (turns) lights is easy

climb under the truck and unplug the harness by turning it. then remove the two screws that hold the stock lenses in the back. do the reverse to install the clear bumper lenses and turn the harness to plug it back in.

***be sure not to touch the bulbs with your bare hands. i use sandwich baggies over my hands to be safe.***

to change the bulbs just pull on them gently (using too much force could cause it to break in your hands.. not fun).

the end. :)

i took a soldering gun to solder the orange piece out. of course you can bake it and take the lens out. Which you can take the orange reflector out but i didn't want to go through all that hassel. even though soldering the orange piece is a *beep*. but it looks nice without it though.

I've been lazy and have yet to replace my OEM bulbs with amber ones and my corners look dim compared to the Silverstars whiteness so they would look better with amber but my signals look ok with just the regular bulbs since they aren't on all the time.

So is it legal to leave the stock bulbs in making the white corner and bumper lights?

i believe it is yes.

ive been doing it for over 2 yrs now.

i asked the same question but i found out when i saw a BMW with STOCK clear lights with stock bulbs in them. it should be legal just because BMW came with clear lens and clean turn signal bulbs also.

my friend came up with the same response :p

If you vehicle came with amber bulbs then it's illegal to not have them technically but I don't know too many cops that will harrass you about them unless maybe you live in Cali where the car nazis have control.

I think it's okay to have clear bulbs. The one that flashes yellowish white. Not blue bulbs. It still flashes yellowish color so i don't know if that's illegal. Plus, here in Oklahoma, there's several cars that have blue signals as their signals front and back. They never get pulled over. I guess cops got tired of it because everyone has them. I still have my stock bulbs on mine even though there's no orange reflectors. Never got a ticket about it yet .

I live in Marin, CA, maybe the strictest cops in Cali. But they came with white bulbs, do you mean amber lenses?

Some comes with clear lens but amber bulbs only. Some comes with amber lens/reflectors but white bulbs. If it comes with clear bulbs but if you remove the amber lens/reflectors, then that is consider illegal but who's to judge it? Only car companies who made them. ;): Only car pros who knows everything.

Ok so you're saying that its not illegal to have the clear lights and lenses, its just illegal to change them. Right?

If your car comes with clear lens + clear bulbs, then of course it's legal. If your in my car, clear lens + clear bulbs. But there was suppose to be a orange reflector there, that is illegal. But most cops will not be aware of this issue because the bulbs are clear. Which it will flash yellowish white. Meaning it's not those ricey blue bulbs with hyper white color. Sorry to confused you. But if your car comes clear lens/bulbs stock, then it's legal. If not, it's illegal.

My car lights would consider illegal. But i'll let the cops judge it.
