General Motors now has Howie Long shilling their crappy trucks.
In this new series of ads shown during football games, flattop Howie impugns the manliness and 'straight thinking' of the wimps and idiots who own non GM trucks, Toyotas included.

ROFLMAO! Too bad they don't show a more truthful ad: Howie sitting in a GM dealership waiting room, reading a comic book while they replace the busted tranny in his Sierra, after 15,000 miles of 'manly driving'.

Nice video, but what engine, transmission and tire type was spec'd for each truck? Were they 2wd or 4x4? I would hope it was an "apples to apples" comparison, but you know how some people are.

That would have gone differently if it were a Ford pickup with the Powerstroke diesel instead of a mere Chevrolet.


Seriously, though, it is best when both parties bring the same capacity truck (tonnage, drivetrain, etc.) , same trim level, similar engines, etc., etc. A V6 or even the small V8 in a GM truck is most likely going to get trounced by the Tundra's 5.7L iForce V8.

Things may really heat up if the rumored Caterpillar diesel Tundra is ever produced!
