Hubrings

I went online and purchased a new set of rims 17x9. The guys that i communicated with threw away a set of lugs and hubrings. He added toyotas a prone to vibrate with aftermarket rims. Does anyone here uses hubrings?

I do. My wheels have a 109mm bore, Toyotas hub is 108. I also replaced the front studs with slightly longer rear studs to accommodate the thicker wheels.

There has been much discussion about hub rings, search the subject. One opinion: The hub ring is basically used as a means to fit the wrong size wheel to your 4R. You might want to consider buying a properly sized wheel.

All hub rings do is center the wheel while you torque it down, many of them are made of plastic. Our wheels are not truly hub centered the way a heavy truck is.

The 4R is Hub-centric. Feel free to ignore my advice, but do some research. No need to get into it here, there is a bunch of information out there.

It's kind of a misnomer on light vehicles. It the wheel fits the bore it is considered hub-centric. On any vehicle with taper/cone/shank style lug nuts (which is every car or light truck I have ever seen) 100% of the load, and the centering, is done by the lug nuts.
