hvac blower motor speeds during acceleration

I have been out of the truck for about 3 weeks now since the caliper locked up. I finished my tundra swap last night and get 'er back on the road. I never noticed before, but in the morning with my heater blowing, the blower will noticeably get louder when accelerating. Is this an issue with the blower motor, or maybe an alternator problem?? I'm at a loss

Thanks

Heres some droolage

Congrats on the Tundra Brakes!! I just completed mine last weekend as well.

As for the heater blower question, I know when I have the vent set to the 'fresh air' setting the faster I go the faster the air will come out of the vents because the speed of the vehicle is blowing air through the vents by itself without the need of the fan. But if your feeling froggy I know there is a way to take the fan blower apart and there is a write-up on how to do so. There may be something in there making it noisy, and the air rushing through with the 'fresh air' setting may be spinning the blower faster, making whatever is in there make more noise. But that's just a theory.

Here is the write up to take it apart... http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/113266-cleaning-blower-fan-write-up.html

Thank you sir, they feel really nice. I can tell i still need to bleed them a little more to get them perfect.

I understand what you're saying about the fresh air, usually mine is on recirc mode so I can hotbox the wife with chilli farts. It seems instantaneous with acceleration for example, dead stop at a stop sign, If i gas it to 2k it gets louder with the rpms, if i floor it from a dead stop, it gets really loud with rpms, both while staying under 15mph.

I need to watch my headlights to see if they dim at idle... would that equal a weak alternator?

I have read that many people say they think there is more movement in the brake pedal because the cylinders in the calipers are larger, which take more fluid to pressurize to make the pads squeeze the rotor with more pressure, so I'm not too sure if bleeding them more would help. I had bled my brakes pretty well and there is more pedal movement than there was before the mod but it still is an amazing improvement overall. And you also gotta think, it may take a bit of driving to completely bed in the new pads.

As for the fan... I guess my theory is out the window; but I do believe kball was getting at your alternator going out, its definitely a possibility.

Actually I'm thinking regulator which is in the alternator. When they go out your alt will jump all over the place and can make your lights as bright as LED's and make your speakers pop from too much voltage. So if your lights get brighter with more gas peddle it could be the regulator or it could be your alt is just worn out and can't keep up at idle speeds anymore.

Either way, the brakes feel 110% better than what it had- just seems sometimes there's more travel than other times.

The alt is original to the truck at 232k miles, Its not offensive enough to justify a new alternator but at least its something to think about.

I'll keep an eye on the lights later!

Or you can go to certain places to have the alternator tested. I'm not sure if they'd do it for free or not but it could prove or eliminate any doubts about your alternator failing. Not sure if Autozone, NAPA or Advanced Autoparts do that kind of service... just a thought.
