Has anyone tried replacing the "flower controls" of the HVAC with a different style cluster from another Toyota model?

Doubt anything would fit properly, not to mention the wiring is going to be an issue since the connectors probably won't match nor will the pin layout. The HVAC control head is actual a module in itself and the dimensions are specific to the 4th gen. I mean, MAYBE you could find a similar unit, but to what end?

Thanks for the info. With all the creativity on here I thought maybe it had been tried.
