I am not meant to haver tail light guards

Ive got a 99 Limited 4X4 and 234K on the clock...

Bought a set of tail light guards online and tried to install and the right one was defective, it didnt match up with the holes properly or allow my tail gate to close. So i told the company and they set me out a second set and same issue, so got a refund

Bought another set from a different company off ebay, received them and bam, same issue, right one doesnt match up.

Bought a third set of ebay for $88 and the next day after i placed my order they called me and said they were out of stock and would call me in a few weeks when they had ones in. Well I checked the company on ebay and sure enought there they were but now for $120. I called and was told it was an error and they were truly out of stock, what a bunch of bull****

Happened to notice the first company posted up again and emailed them asking if the part that was defective was fixed and they said it was. Well guess what? it wasnt, it was still defective.


I really want some guards because the setup would go perfect with my brush guard and roof rack

That brushguard may look cool but if it ever takes damage, it will cause WAY more damage to your vehicle than even a stock bumper could offer. BTW sorry about your experiences!

not always true, i used to agree with you untill i got side swiped by a bus and the brush guard actually saved my head light and front quater panel from being ripped off, and the bus only took the lower valance and the fender guard instead.....dead on though it most likely would have been a different story, i just got lucky, but from that i don't think we can really say "it will", more like it probably will, as it's really all about how the crash or smash happens as there are some cases where a brush guard has actually saved a truck or two, if it wasn't for my brush guard i would have been scrapping the truck as opposed to buying my arb to replace the lower valance...

as for the op's question go here and quit messing around with ebay crap, go straight tot eh supplier if your having that hard of a time, the thing that gets me though is that there's only like 3 companies that make these things so if your having issues with fit over 3 sets from 3 different people it makes me start to wonder if you have issues with your truck instead of the guard, possibly the back had been in an accident you didn't know about and got a shoddy repair? just a guess, if your sure it's the guards look at westin and manik brands as they are large companies and are the main supplier for the guards .
