I installed Elka remote resi 2.5’s today

So Uhhh, as the title says, they’re installed but now Im trying to figure out what to do with them. They seem to be pretty solid but I am a bit concerned with how vulnerable and exposed the remote reservoirs are. This is how elka showed them in the install instructions.

Anybody else installed this setup? What did you come up with?

Your picture didn’t come up either. Something weird with the attachment software I think.

Which bracket are you thinking of? For now, this is just the bracket that came with the coil overs.

There's no way I would run them the way your first picture shows! Have to be up inside the wheel well attached to frame.

Yeah I’ve come to the same conclusion myself. Just trying to figure out other ways to do so. Might have to buy a different mount or make one. Not sure yet.

Thought maybe someone on here had dealt with this before already.

Looks like if you didn't have a BL and mounted the bracket the opposite way (up higher), it would be hidden behind the bumper - at least it would with a stock bumper.

Yeah the body lift doesn’t help for sure. Looks like it may have been designed for a factory bumper. Seems weird they’d design it solely on the factory bumper instead of putting it in the wheel well like everyone else.

How does its quality and performance compare to King, ADS, Fox, etc?

Nah not new, just a smaller company up in Canada. Suspension is custom built to fit your vehicle based on weight and driving style.

AFAIK they are on par with ADS, slightly better than fox’s, not sure how they stack up against kings or icon.

Build quality looks excellent, all aside from the oddly placed reservoir mount.

I agree, that is very exposed. It looks like it was designed for the stock bumper with no body lift. Is this the set that you installed?

I've been considering this Elka set, or Radflo, so I'm interested to see how you get this resolved. I'm also interested in how the rear resi's mount up, if you bought those.

may we know the part numbers and what are the extended and compressed lengths of the front and rear shocks?
