Well I've been wanting to get a suv as a 2nd car/daily driver. I have my "project car" allready so I just wanted something cheap I was planning on around 3k for something.

But wouldn't you know it one guy from work who is big into xterra's had a neighbor who was selling a 4runner cheap. I thought it must have some serious problems for the price but thought I might as well check it out. So I stopped by to see A blue 91 4runner v6 4x4. At first I thought the blue one bust have been newer cause the body was in realy good shape for a 91.

Anyway I bought my new Toy :) for 1500 bux, runs (not well) but does just what I need it to. Which is get me to work while I tear apart my 3000GT. I was gona fix the motor which has some sort of valve issues but being that it allready has 208k on it I figure I'll just drive it till it dies and put a new motor in it.

BTW Whats with the sagg'n ass on 4runners? Is it the springs? Common fix?

Welcome to the forum. 4Runner's butt tend to sag and there are some write ups on the subject. I like the snow.

I think it might be best to put this thread in the Gallery section since you have 3 pictures.

Is that how you park when you go shopping to?

BTW Sorry for putting it in the wrong area, and for posting crappy pics.

What's the deal with the saggin' ass?
Common for those era 4Runners.
Easy quick fix = replace the coils on the back. A lot of 4x4 places sells replacement coils, Performance Products sells em. NWOR sells em. OME makes one of the better coils, I got OME coils on my ass end and front end. Good luck and Enjoy!

Downeyoffroad.com sell those a** fixing springs too.

Nice 4Runner, Drive her till she dies and then do the 3.4L swap and she will run you another 200K but with more power.

And she dies....

haha I put some engine restor in it. Made more power, but aparently caused a oil leak, which totaly drained the oil before I noticed which caused a spun rod bearing. (least I think thats what it is)

Where can I find more info on this swap? Costs? what all is involved? is there a how to? do I need a new harness and cpu?
