haha...i quit driving my Nova because of the crappy milage (6-8) and bought a 5RUNNER because it gets great milage (18-23)

yeah its funy because my generation of Maxima get not so hot mileage as far as 4dr sedans go but in my case it is better than the alternative which is my 4Runner.
BTW i was thinking about some smarta$$ comment to your typo calling it a 5runner but it is 2:32 am and i can't think of one.

i really wish the my 4Runner got better mileage I mean c'mon the thing only has a V6 and it's not hotrod. I expected around 16 city and 20 hwy would be acceptable but i am way below that. It has had a professional intake and injector cleaning. New plugs, regular oil changes, keep the ECT power button off.

My 02 is also getting 21mpg on the highway and 17 in the city. On regular Costco gas, if anyone cares.

I love my 4cyl 2WD 4RUNNER. Its great on mileage (as 4Runners go).
I wonder how much I will spend for a trip from L.A. to Yosemite National Park this June??
Or even worse in how much they will charge for a GALLON of the stuff, since there are only 2 gas stations in the entire park.

I get 17 city and 20 highway in my '96 and I'm extremely pleased w/that mileage.
Still, I ride a bike to work whenever I can now that prices have crept up. 2-3 mile bike ride...saves fuel, gets me in better shape, and is a great way to decompress after a day at work.
Why drive if you can walk or bike and use zero gasoline in the process.
