I Need New Tires

HEY PETER!

Cross terrains are going to replace the (OEM) Goodyears on my wifes '01 (got 55k miles out of them but I think the handling - sidewall rooooll - SUCKS and snow-handling was *super* sucky).

I've heard that not only are they quiet and last a long time but that they handle prety well and aren't too squishy through turns.

Have you noticed any improvement over the Firestones in that department?

When I got the tires I noticed a immediate difference. On the highway I heard some wind noise, before the noise was from the tires. I was up to 85 before I realized it and the tires were rock steady, no vibrations and no, or very little road noise. I was able to turn the stereo down and then slowed down to 70. Wow, what a difference.

Handling is MUCH better, very solid in corners. I don't know about the snow yet and I am hoping they will last a long time.

Yeah I saw that coupon and believe it or not I still have a good friend who hasn't bought a DVD player. Looks like that techno-recluse is going to get a birthday present after all...
