Hey guys! What is going on? Long time lurker, first time poster. You know the whole, i just read a lot until I have to finally have to ask questions gig.

I am located in a small city in SW Idaho due to work. I currently drive around in a 08 DC Tundra. 5.7L 4x4 with some goodies. The basic stuff like 5100s/OME setup, 35s, LT headers, TRD intake, and a lot of plastidip.

The beast that started it all was not the Tundra, but my 99 extracab Taco. 4x4 TRD Elocker. I wish I never sold it.

I had big plans and the parts in place, east coast rust and living in a dorm room deterred me from them. I had Fabtech C/Os, Alcan 10 leaf, and 5100s ready. Alas, live and learn, time to get what I really want. a dependable offroader/expo. I will be doing some mild rocks, so armor will be needed later on. eace:

Sooooo... you're getting a 4runner then?

Actually your taco looks /exactly/ like the truck I traded in for my 4runner. Though I had a cap on it. BFGs, King coilovers (that were WAY too stiff), lifted springs in the back etc...

I LOVE he new 4runner I love that it has about the same cargo area plus seats 4 when I want it too and has a shorter wheelbase, better ground clearance. All around better "truck" for me though I am missing the rear e-locker. The only thing from my taco I feel like I need to replace on my 4runner... though the a-trac in 4 lo is awesome and in some cases even better than just the locker (though having the choice would be nice)

Completely understand. I went from a '07 CC 5.7 Titan, 35", yada yada yada and it was a beast yet I sold it and went with my little 1st gen T4r. Wife thinks I'm crazy, but I'm so much happier driving this little guy around and wrenching on it then I ever was with that beast.

Best advice I'd give is stop putting money adding crap into the Titan. Its a great machine that will last forever as is. With the money just a new set of tires is going to cost you, go buy a little project truck to play with. Its cheaper and more satisfying. Keep the Titan for work and daily stuff.

I'm still paying on my Tundra, done with adding things to her, I will probably start stripping the aftermarket and start reinstalling the factory. I would love to keep the Tundra for a fast hauler but 12mpg highway is heavy on the pocket. (100mi commute if I move to the big city)

I am thinking sell the Tundra and with extra money, I can pick up a 3rd gen runner w/ Elocker and a beater corolla for my daily.

Sweet Tundra. That is what I was looking at when I found the 4Runner. The 4.7 V8 has plenty of power for me and the gas mileage is much better than the 5.7. Plus I didn't really NEED a truck. Love this thing so far! Have any daytime photos to share?
