Icon Stage 2 kit where to get it cheaper?

I have done many searches on icon vs toytec suspension kits and concluded to go with Icon stage 2 tubular. It is $2577 as opposed to toytec boss 2.5 series with SPC light racing $2195. I was told and read that Icon stage 2 (2010 - current toyota 4runner suspension system - stage 2 - 53062T) kit was way better for offroad and durability than toytec boss. Assuming that is correct, $390 difference was not really a big deal for me to get icon kit over toytec one. Is there like groupon of some sort for icon? I need to get it for best price as possible. I heard other places carry them. Where is a good place to get this kit besides their website?
Thanks any opinions will be appreciated.

wait until annual cyber-Monday or end-of-year Holiday sales when ICON sells for 20% off.

not sure if this is true any longer, but used to be that it was also slightly less expensive to assemble your own kit from individual parts rather than buy "Stage X or Y or whatever"

Also, if you have KDSS you should also add the Rear Track Bar to help with alignment and having the suspension system works better with KDSS. You don't need it, but Icon recommends it.

I ran Icon stage 2 w/their UCA for years and hit up my fair hare of off-road in my FJ. The ride felt better than stock on road and was amazing off-road. I will be adding the stage 2 w/ Icon Tube UCA to my 16 TEP. I don't know how the other systems ride, but I swear to the quality and comfort of Icon.
Total Automotive Performance has been the best price I have found due to free shipping.

Thank you all for the great advice. I have called TAP and found pretty decent price and placed an order. It should ship out in 2-3 weeks. I am pretty excited though, I am thinking great suspension might be the most important upgrade to any offroad vehicle. I hope this kit will last the lifetime of my vehicle. With less abuse would this kit last like 15-20 years? I heard you have to do little more maintenance with Icon than Toytec. I hope it is easy maintenance i can do in my garage.
 
I'm considering the Icon Stage 2 or 3 tubular. Can these kits be installed and set up at home? I used to be an aircraft mechanic but i haven't done anything than preventative Mx on my vehicles. I never set up a suspension on a car. si i dont know the adjustment specs for the links and arms?
Will the Toyota tech still be able to do wheel alignments with these kits installed?

What's the difference between getting a 3" front spacer lift vs getting Icon extended front coilover shock kit. Both with UAC. I'm guessing the ride for the 3" spacer lift would be more harsh ? What's the pros and cons ?

Sorry I can't post any of my own threads yet and this was the most recent dealing with Icon

Night and day...
ICONS will ride very controlled with a feeling of the truck stabilizing itself constantly. Great dampening along with a mild platform to prevent the wallow you can feel with some high performance offroad setups.

Also, there is more travel with the ICONs. Spacer lift just increase the ride height and you end up with almost no travel left to extend....

I personally like ICONs the best for most people. But if you have KDSS Fox, King, or Radflo might be a better choice since they are progressive vs digressive. KDSS is so stiff at speed that the softer initial dampening matches up with it a little better.

I recommend not going cheap on suspension because I've never met anyone who does not eventually end up with something high quality in the long run. You can get by with the cheaper stuff, but its worth the money to go with top quality (in my opinion)

What if I'm doing this to a TRD Pro ? Will the icon still be that much more better ? I'm trying not to replace the trd pro suspension but if I the icon is that much better then I would give in for the 3" lift.

I have the Kings w/ Dirt King setup. I did mine myself and it took a couple of hours. If you were an aircraft mechanic were you military? Whether you were or not, I highly recommend finding a friend that has base privileges and use a hobby shop/auto skills shop on base! That is what I do here in San Diego. Either way, you can do your suspension at home. The alignment is a requirement after you're done installing the new parts.

Gotcha. Well, if you do the work yourself the stock jack will not be enough to lift your rig. A Hi-Lift jack become a requirement. Also, without rock sliders, lifting with a hi-lift jack requires different types of attachments. Gotta be creative at that point! Lol. I am very fortunate with being active duty, those auto skills shops are $8/hour. I've saved thousands by doing the work myself. I'm sure you know someone who is active duty or a reservist or civilian with base access. They could be an extra set of hands for you as well! The work is much better with company.
