Identify CCTV photo of Forerunner used by thieves

Thieves burgled our house on Sunday, in broad daylight here in the Bay Area. Luckily a neighbor down the street has CCTV. The angle/light wasn't great (these are cropped from the original video) but to me this looks like a 2009 -2011 model year Toyota Forerunner. It has boxy wheel arches. The white trim goes under the mouth/grill of the car.

I could be wrong - a friend thinks it might be a Dodge or a Chrysler - but I figured you guys - the Forerunner experts can resolve it.

Also is it a Limited, or another edition? Anything that can narrow it down appreciated.

The only thing I can tell is that it sits low.. I'm not a 4th gen expert but when suv's and trucks sit lower it tends to tell me they're 2wd. I can't tell of the base model. I don't see a sport hood. I can tell is has these wheels pictured below but they came on a variation of different models. On the lower middle picture I can count 6 spokes.

Why would someone driving a 5th gen burglarize a house? Then again, it could also be a stolen. Sorry to hear that. In my parent's town, there were broad daylight break-ins just the other day right near their house. Police were swarming the area. The world is going to shit.
 
:hand:wait you come here and and think we are gonna pull a rabbit out of a hat!?....:rofl::nono: hold on a min bud... do you have any idea how many 4runners were sold between 2010 and 2013? :shrug:i dont but know for sure, but as of 2012, over 136500 had be sold in the united states of the 5th gen 4runner... now take the number and divide by 50(for how many states there are) thats roughly 2800 -and i know California has more 4runners that Alaska and Rhode Island put together, so we can safely assume over 3000 of them are in California. you think we are gonna know the owner of that specific vehicle? google earth could get a better picture than that, and i still cant tell year make and model of most vehilces on google earth. im sorry but getting us to identify a 4runner for you is gonna be like getting congress and the senate to take a pay cut and give me a pay raise... im sorry for your loss, and i would be one of the first to hand over the perp if i could but you are asking for a merical here

Easy, killer. He just wants to ID the make and model for the police report.
 
Thanks guys. I'd be willing to bet some poor 4Runner owner had his car stolen. Bet he or she'd like it back.
[MENTION=60147]the kid[/MENTION]: Yes there are plenty of white 4Runners around but now you've got something to tell the neighborhood to look out for. If a neighbor sees someone with that vehicle acting suspicious they can put 2 + 2 together.

The quality of the CCTV kind of sucks. It's a shame as it's an impressive looking camera but it belongs to a neighbor and is pointed at the homeowners driveway and really only catching the street in the periphery of the image (the image shared is less than 1/8th the full shot).

I have to say THANKS. I knew it was worth checking in with 4Runner experts!

i know i guess i was just kinda blown away that he thought we would turn in one of our own... its like we are the kinda guys who are eager to pick appart someones rig after they wreck it or something...

yeah i get your point, i was maybe a little over board on the post but i wanted to make sure you knew we werent gonna be able to give you a magic bullet or lamp with 3 wishes...
 
Just a thought...
Can someone in the Bay area with a 5th Gen (and maybe a 4th Gen for comparison) help the OP out by volunteering to replicate the movement of the truck in the shots? Preferably a white one.

By "one of our own" you mean another 4runner owner/driver? If I ever know of a person who robs anyone I would help drag his ass to the police station even if he is "one of our own".

Oh me too! I was just shocked an outsider would think we would do that... I wouldn't think a jeep guy would turn in another jeep guy... But that's a jeep thing I guess, and I don't understand it either
 
I did see one yesterday, it was a chick driving it and she had no handles at all, even my 4th gen has more stability on this s turn we have at the airport. I was hittin it hard 50+. This is near the oakland airport, maybe she robbing at bay farm island or alameda.
