Idling at 200 rpms

Hey guys, I'm at a loss for what the issue is. I was in O'Reilly's a week ago picking up some electrical connectors and seen some MAF sensor and throttle body cleaners and decided why not as a little maintenance for the day. I cleaned the the MAF sensor first and (stupid mistake, I know) forgot to connect the wiring harness before cranking the car. However, plugged it back in and cleared the check engine code. Ran fine after this. However, I went to clean the throttle body and it turned out good. I drove across town and back after letting air dry and the car ran and idled fine. Then, the next day I cranked the car to head to work and it started up extremely rough and idled at 200-300 rpms for a few seconds before I shut it off. I started her up again and it idled fine right below 1000 rpms. It seems to be a random issue as it has randomly happened two more times. I opened up the throttle body again and let it air dry for an extra hour after the second time and made sure everything was connected like it should be. Everything was as it should be until it happened again today. I AM STUMPED. If anyone has any info or advice on how to fix this please let me know. (PS sorry for the long paragraph)

check your idle air control valve, the last time I did an intake clean I had a similar experience but it was because of some fluid left in the IAC that eventually got cleared, went away after.
Also make sure you did not damage the two little wires inside the MAF sensor. you should NOT make any contact with those when cleaning. Pull it out and inspect the two little wires inside the sensor and make sure they are not broken.
I had the similar mistake as well of starting without the MAF sensor reconnected but that did not cause any problem, truck just kept tumbling and didn't start, Problem went away

The way the IAC is located in the 5vzfe, all the gunk after cleaning with cleaner flow right into the IAC. The best way to clean is to remove the throttle body and orient the IAC to be on top and then clean the throttle body.

The way I clean is I spray the cleaner to a paper towel and wipe off the inside of throttle body so nothing flows into the IAC valve.

I give the IAC air bypass hole a few short squirts with the engine at idle. It sucks the crap out of the IAC's air passage if I don't feel like removing it.

1996 toyota 4runner Limited

hello everyone, if i could possibly pick at some of your knowledge here. I've tried every option at getting solid info on idle norms for this vehicle, i'm sorry i don't know anything about these 4runners yet as i just purchased one that needed a whole new front end well almost all. I've changed spark plugs and wires, lower control arms stabilizer links front and back struts both sides and a cv axle much more needs to be done, my question is this idle. mine idles at a steady 675RPM when warm. i'm wondering if that is actually a normal idle for this vehicle? i was told its kind of low and should be sitting at nearly 1000RPM during warm idle, has anyone got concrete info on this topic? thank you all for you help.

Around 700rpm is where all my vehicles idle at.

I've always heard that you should idle warm at right below 1000rpms. For almost a year mine idled about 1500 rpms until I cleaned the throttle body and MAF sensor. 675 is pretty low.

and is that the norm at 900-1000RPM for these things? i'm really stumped here, i know when i clean my throttle body and iac valve it may fix the issue. just wish i knew what concrete idle it should be at to be confident of the aftermath of the cleaning. or if there will be something else i'll need to look for. all my lines are good and theres no air leakage.

Under the hood it should say on the engine and emissions sticker what the idle rpm should be.

Mine is around 800 in park and warmed up. When in drive and warm, about 650.
