If you, or Cher, could turn back time, would you use the same lift?

So let's say you could go back and impart some words of wisdom to your "past self" from the future, before you installed your lift, and or wheels and tires. Would you make changes? What words of warning or praise would you lend.

I would have done the bigger lift the first time around

I would tell myself to presoak everything in pb blaster a few days before hand.

And I would have gotten better coil spring compressors, mine sucked and it made it a real pain in the balls trying to compress the coils. And then one I got them compressed the space was too small to get the compressors out...:frusty:

Also to do the driver side rear spring first. I just about cried trying to do it the opposite until I read to do that driver side first.

Also...Either order some new cv boots or get some new clamps for them. Both have mine have been spewing grease for the last 500 miles and wont stop. Boots arent ripped, so I am assuming from the new angle they broke the seal or something...

I am sure there is more stuff I could come up with

I am really happy with my ome lift kit from toytec. I wanted the toytec ultimate kit but i could not do the extra $$$ for it. So i guess i would save up the extra needed cash if i could go back just for the sake of front ajustment if the future.

This is what I have been thinking about lately. I like the idea of a mid-lift, but the added adjustability of the front shocks might work out better overall. I have a aftermarket bumper I am about to throw on and I suppose it might me nice to have a little beefier springs and some adjustment options that you might not get with the standard OME kit. Also, I am not rockin the 33" tires, just 265/75/16s, so I don't want to go too big on the lift and have it look odd. Now I am leaning towards a Toytec coilover up front and some sort of 2-3" rear lift.

Kind of wish I had gotten a real coil-over in the front so I could crank it down a little bit. Also kind of wish I had gone with 33's and no BL at all, missed a set of 5 285 MT/R's like new for 800$, and ended up finding the 315's, hoping I can ditch the BL still with the 35's if I can get enough clearance. But overall, I'm happy with the ride and performace of the 5100's and TRD springs, and I would definitely still got the 8 wraps and stock LC shocks, zero complaints there.

I wouldn't change a thing regarding my SonoranSteel 1.2 w/ pre-assembled front coils w/ new top plates. . .

Installed in 2009 and would do the SS 1.2 again in a heart beat. Between Steve's customer service and the lift kit itself I couldn't have done better.

Wouldn't change my lift but I would order new upper control arms and install those at the same time as the rest of the lift.

I researched my lift for months, found all parts myself and built it. I love my lift.

Only thing I would have changed is go coilovers up front for adjustable lift but at the time I didnt have the money. Still very happy with my setup.
