I'm about to purchase a 4runnner trail premium... can i add eibachs + billsteins?

So after coming to the realization that the TRD Pro doesn't have the KDSS... I dropped the idea of buying that and figure I can buy the 4Runner trail premium, add the trd pro bilstein shocks and wheels, save myself about a grand and end up with a better SUV.

Is my thinking wrong on this?

Does anyone know if this part will be compatible to the KDSS? I've seen ICON suspension and shocks reworked where there were some mods that had to be made to the kdss in order for it to work.

In a nutshell, I love the look of the trd pro. But if it doesn't have the kdss system i feel like i can modify a trail premium to the the same look and functionality and save a little bit of money and wind up with a better SUV. I can buy the trd pro wheels, the front grille is cool but not a deal breaker. I think I could powdercoat the front toyota emblem and wind up with a better looking front end. Only thing i'll miss is the trd pro badging on the side but I don't care about that so much anyway.

Anyone with some insight on this I'd love to hear you chime in. I'm new here - sorry if this has been asked before I have poked around these forums for a while and haven't found an answer to this. Thanks!

Yes. Shocks and springs have nothing to do with KDSS and no shocks or springs would ever need to be modded to fit the 4runner KDSS system.

And that same outfit sells the TRD Pro badging for the sides, as well as the front skid plate.

I notice that there are no rear springs for this kit. that seems kind of silly to me. is there any reasoning behind it?

To the best of my knowledge the TRD Pro still uses the factory rear springs. So there wouldn't be any new ones in the kit.
