In Memory of Nick, BigFishAllDay

I have unfortunately discovered that Nick, known here as [MENTION=44220]BigFishAllDay[/MENTION], passed away a little over a year ago, on 11/13/2020. While I may not have known Nick as well as others on here that were local to him, I will always remember looking forward to his thorough write-ups and thoughtful replies. He was a valuable asset to the 3rd Gen 4Runner community, a wealth of knowledge, and a great friend to many on here.

Hey guys. Mauser here from Mud. Saw the reply to my post over there.

Nick passed from AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia), he fought this for about 4 years.

Nick was a man of faith and knew where he was headed. I am happy that he made it and will never feel pain again. I hope one day to be where he is.

I have been working on a 3rd gen 4runner for almost a year now and just about every time I ask the internet a question about it I am led to one of Nick's posts here. He left behind a lot of knowledge.

BFAD, you will be missed! Rest in Peace my friend.

I never had the privilege of meeting Bigfishallday. I remember searching google on how to retrofit an elocker and his build thread popped up.
He was helping people without even knowing it!

His 3rd Gen build was awesome and his trip reports with his family were very enjoyable, The love of of nature and his family can be clearly seen in his thread. May the Lord give solace to his family and grant him peace.

Nick was an incredible member that left a positive footprint in this community. His threads helped me out many times. He also seemed like a heavily involved father from the posts in his build thread. My deepest condolences to the family, and I pray they find strength to bear this loss.

We randomly ran into him out in Colorado on Black Bear Pass in summer 2015, and went over the pass as a little impromptu group and had lunch in Telluride. Great guy.

Wow, when I first joined the forum he was one of the members who inspired me, not only for his amazing rig, but his wealth of knowledge, and more importantly his willingness to share it. RIP

thats sad, his posts have helped me as well as some p.ms when I was having issues a few years back with a retrofit elocker. I think he had also done lots of the "leg" work on doing the TBU, and I think he had a hand in the fuel pump kill switch mod

Had the pleasure of running a trail and having lunch after with him and his family a long time ago, and like so many others, benefited from his in depth research and write-ups. He impressed me as a good person both on and off trail.
