Just bought a couple of these at Home Depot for $7 each.

HDX 12 Gallon Tough Tote


Two of them fit perfectly between the wheel wells of a 3rd Gen.

Certainly not as nice as some of the custom platform/sliding drawers some members have fabbed, but inexpensive, simple, and effective.

Just thought I'd pass it along.

I also keep my dogs in the back a lot so I have been looking at various storage methods that also don't happen to take up usable dog space. It is been tough!

I prefer multiple and portable storage over one large one. You nailed it with these and your bags. Its nice to post up simple stuff like this to save others time effort and money sorting out options. Winner Winner!

what divider is that you are using?

i need one to keep the dogs in the back

I'm not sure what the brand the divider is. I've had it for about 15 years, and I think I got it at a yard sale. Used it in my old RWD Volvo wagon, then transferred it to the 4R. It just mounts with two large screw adjusters that compression-fit between the floor and the ceiling.
