Inner CV boot split at edge, can someone suggest a split boot repair kit?

I could not imagine one of those holding up very long. Pull your axle out and toss a new boot on it. Can be done in an hour with hand tools, and there are tons of great tutorials online here. Wait to long and your CV will be worn out from having no grease and getting dirt inside
 
If you decide to do the repair with normal OEM boots, here's a video you can use to get the job done.

Is it ghetto that I've repaired a torn boot in the past with duct tape...and it worked? (Granted, this was on a lowered MR2, not an articulating mud-beast).

This was after watching a split boot completely fail at its job.

Not a new OEM axle. Some people swear some affordable aftermarket axles are just as good as OEM but I'd personally rather keep my OEM Toyota axles and spend the time and money to reboot them. A reboot kit is $50/side. For $100 and your time, you can refresh both your OEM axles. It's a messy job but not that hard. The key is to get a good pair of band clamp pliers because the ones they sell at the auto parts stores are complete junk. Hillbilly mechanics does work. Would I want to take one of our rigs on a long road trip with a CV axle boot repaired with duct tape, probably not. But, for around town driving, I could see a fix like that lasting for quite some time.
 
Thanks all. O think camelback lists the axle for 150. My local dealer also has online prices that are about the same. I am going to buy time with the ghetto split boot then just order a new axle intact. It's hunting season and I don't want to mess with anything that resembles work or takes up my time. My hunting truck is an f150 so the 4runner woll see local driving with the split boot kit until i replace the dang thing. Looks easier
