Ins/Registration with 2011 face-lift

Hello,
For those that have done the face lift on a 10-13 to 14+, any issues with insurance or registration? Just wondering if insurance will see it as a mod and only do repairs based on vin.

Call your insurance company and ask.

If they give you a hard time, switch to Hagerty. I’ve used them for years for modified classic cars and they don’t even second guess the declared value as long as you can prove it via photos and/or receipts.

When I started with Hagerty, all they wanted was a declared value and photos. They didn’t even ask what modifications the vehicle had. I asked if they needed any info about that and they said no. They are even more lenient nowadays from what I gather. They’ve allowed me to increase coverage based on work I told them I did but they never asked for more photos or info. For all they know the vehicle was crushed by a tree the day before I increased coverage and I planned to call them the following week to make a claim.
