I lifted a few inches back in the summer and the front wheel well is awfully open to splash hitting the engine. What are some opinions on getting those rubber fender flaps and trimming to fit to control splash? With winter coming I'm thinking snow and water being a problem causing more rust than I already have.
Install flaps in wheel well after lift?

I've seen those. Just wondering what the consensus is on if it's worth it or not.

I got the rad rubber ones. More expensive but thicker than stock and come with fasteners.

I have the rear ward flap reinstalled on mine. It helps but lots of crap still getting up in the engine bay. Hood insulation is covered in mud splash from a water crossing last fall. After that I started thinking about creating new front splash guard flaps starting from the post and templates at DIY - Creating and Installing 4th Gen Wheel Well Splash Shields
My thought was to cut the top of the flap and holes then go put it in the truck and mark the bottom hole and edge position then reposition the template to match my marks and cut the bottom.

+1 for Rad Rubber. Initially I didn't want to spend $50 but I'm glad I did. Thicker that stock and should last a very long time.
They're cheapies that'll do for a little while.
Rad Rubber are for sure better.
Definitely worth doing, especially on the passenger side of the v8 with the alternator location.
