Installed OEM hitch - did I screw this up?

Center bracket for hitch

I hate to revive a thread so old, but figured someone might be able to use this information. For the record, I work at a Toyota/Lexus dealer and have access to an internal accessory guide.

PT228-89440 is for 2003-2005 V8 4Runners, and requires center support bracket 08925-35850.
PT228-89460 is for 2006-2009 V8 4Runners, and requires center support bracket 08925-35870.

Looks like OP got away with installing without the bracket, though.

Just wanted to thank you for originally posting this and letting you know it helped me out! I have an 08 GX470 and need the center bracket. I finally found someone who was going to sell me one from an 03 4Runner but after seeing your post, realized it won't work. Have to keep looking but thanks again! I was just about to buy it!
